A little about us...

The business was started in 2018 by Mark Straker, who has competed in UK stage rallying for almost 40 years, initially navigating for his father (ex-MN navigator from the 1960’s & competitor in the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally) in an Austin Healey Sebring Sprite, and subsequently driving his own Talbot Sunbeam, and latterly a selection of Darrians. 

Having achieved some success using a 2.5L engined Darrian, Mark decided in 2016 to start the development of the Ford 1.6L EcoBoost engine for use in UK Stage Rallying, using the mandated 34mm turbo restrictor, with the objective of achieving equivalent performance to the established 2.5L engines. 

After several years of R&D, we have now achieved all of our original targets and look forward to seeing this engine increasing in popularity and competing in a wide range of vehicles, FWD, RWD & 4WD.

Together with SBD Motorsport, we currently have EcoBoost engines running in Fiestas, Anglias, Escorts, Darrians and a 4WD Proto Fiesta – all options are possible. 

As an agent for SBD Motorsport, we use only quality parts which have been developed in conjunction with SBD, including MBE ECU’s. 

We sell the entire range of SBD parts, as well as partially and fully built engines, including 1.6L EcoBoosts for non-rally disciplines, Ford Duratec and Vauxhall XE engines, again only using SBD Motorsport’s quality range of parts.
